About Eigen Verhaal
Eigen Verhaal is a recovery-oriented course in which you create space for your personal narrative. For many people, life experiences — whether intense, confusing, or painful — are difficult to put into words.
In Eigen Verhaal, you explore how you can tell your story in a way that does justice both to what you have experienced and to who you are.
In a small, safe group, you reflect on what your experiences have done to you and how they have become part of your identity.
What you work with
You work with different forms of expression, such as writing, reflection, and conversation.
The goal is not to create a “perfect” or finished story, but to find words that feel right for you.
Practical information
Eigen Verhaal invites you to slow down and deepen. By exploring and sharing your story — if and when that feels right — more coherence, self-understanding, and mildness can emerge.
Duration
- 8 weekly group meetings
- Each meeting lasts 2.5 hours
- Guidance by experienced recovery workers
For whom?
Eigen Verhaal is for people who want to give their experiences a place and strengthen their own voice.
The course is not linked to a diagnosis. It can be suitable for psychological complaints, loss, impactful life events, trauma, or the feeling of having lost yourself.
